Meet the New Owners: Kim and Marty Kane
Your neighborhood bread store was recently purchased by Geneva residents, Kim and Marty Kane. We are the proud parents of four wonderful children and have called Geneva home for the last nine years. Both of us are very active in the community and want to give something back to the town we love so much. Marty spent the last 19 years in Marketing and actually started his career working for Mayor Daley and the Special Events Office of Chicago. Kim left the corporate life seven years ago to stay at home with our kids. She promptly joined the Mother's Club of Geneva and the PTO and has been busier than ever.
We have been long time customers of Great Harvest and always loved the bread and sweets. When we heard that the bakery was for sale last summer, we started looking into it immediately. We officially took ownership on April 6th and life has been running at full throttle ever since. We are learning a lot from everyone; the wonderful employees whom you all see when you walk in our door and from all of you. We are currently working on a RE-GRAND OPENING weekend scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2009. The weekend long celebration will feature live music, games for kids, raffle prizes and of course the best tasting bread and sweets on earth. Our RE-GRAND OPENING celebration will give us all the opportunity to get to know each other. Stay tuned for more information on the RE-GRAND OPENING.
